Today is our TNG: “Tapestry” watch-along!

This month, in place of our regularly scheduled chat, we’re holding a watch-along!

Here’s how it works: You join a special chat room where you can watch a Star Trek episode from someone else’s computer. No special software required. Everyone joins in laughing, crying, and picking-apart the episode for the fun of it. This time around we’re going to be watching “Tapestry,” a Next Generation episode about an alternate reality where Capt. Picard never became the commanding officer of the Enterprise.

We’re starting TODAY (Saturday, May 6) at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern / 6pm London / 3am+1 Sydney (AUS). Click here to join the event.

Our monthly chat is this Saturday – we’re watching TNG: “Tapestry”!

Every month we hold a fleetwide OOC chat to allow people to gather, mingle, and make new connections. This month, we’re holding our chat a week early – on Saturday, May 6 at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern / 6pm London / 3am+1 Sydney (AUS) – at the yearly SciWorld online simming convention.

For this chat, we’re doing an open watch-along.

Joining us for the event will be other participants of the SciWorld yearly simming convention, where members of the Star Trek simming community come together for informational panels, trivia, live simming, and other Trek fun.

Click here now to add this event to your calendar and see when it’s happening in your timezone. We’ll send you a link to the chat room the day of the event.

Join us today for the February watch-along chat

Join us today as we kick back, relax, and chat while watching two fun and silly episodes of Star Trek at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern / 6pm London / 5am Sydney (AUS). (Click here to see your timezone and add this chat to your calendar.)

How does a watch-along work? Simple! Grab yourself a copy of the episode in any format you like and log onto the chat. Get there a little early if you can to say hi and get all your stuff ready. Then, when the hour rolls around everyone present presses play and we watch a great episode of Trek while chatting about everything we love and remember about it. Or joking about it!

The episodes we will be viewing are: Star Trek: TOS – Spock’s Brain, and Star Trek: TNG – Night Terrors. Spock’s Brain starts at the time listed above, and we’ll start Night Terrors one hour later. The first episode is 50 minutes long, so that gives everyone some time for a bathroom break in between. You can show up for one episode or both. And if you can’t find a copy of the episode, you’re still welcome to hang out with us!

The episodes are available on Netflix or Hulu if you have a subscription, as well as pay-per-view on Amazon.

To participate, simply head to our Discord channel, at: https://www.starbase118.net/chat
