ALPHA ISLES — The USS Ronin successfully conducted a counter-attack against Consortium forces, attempting to establish a presence in the Alpha Isles.
The operation resulted in the destruction of a large Consortium capital ship and their base of operations. Additionally, the crew of the Ronin managed to recover dozens of civilian and Starfleet prisoners.
The Ronin, under the temporary command of Lieutenant Commander Toryn Raga, executed this mission while still coping with the aftermath of an ambush that led to numerous fatalities among the crew. The primary objective was to rescue kidnapped crew members and retrieve stolen equipment before the Consortium could utilize them to activate their base of operations.
Lt. Cmdr. Raga commented on the situation, stating, “They gave us no choice for diplomacy, even as they took far too many souls from us. Starfleet does not tolerate bullies, especially those who threaten and use lives as leverage to do what they want.” He also recited the Ronin’s motto, “When you go home, tell them of us and say: For your tomorrow, we gave our today.”
Details of the operation remain classified as the Ronin is being towed back to Deep Space Thirty-Three. It is a known fact that approximately seventy-five Starfleet personnel and several hundred civilian refugees lost their lives. The Consortium targeted these individuals in an attempt to implicate Starfleet and escalate regional tensions.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that Captain Karrod Niac, who was temporarily away from the Ronin, will rejoin the ship at Deep Space Thirty-Three after attending a seminar at Starbase Eleven.
