STARBASE 104 — Commodore Jalana Rajel of the USS Constitution-B (NCC-9012-B) was taken from Starbase 104 in broad station light when the crew was on shore leave following their previous mission, which left the Constitution seriously damaged.
While no demands were made, suspicion fell on the Orion Syndicate as retaliation for destroying two of their ships in their most recent mission.
After informing the senior crew of the commodore’s absence, preparations began to retrieve their Commanding Officer. Meanwhile, acting commanding officer Commander Saveron received a subspace transmission from a Kaelon member of the Syndicate known only as Elder. This former Commanding Officer of one of the earlier mentioned destroyed ships claimed the Syndicate planned to separate Commodore Rajel’s Trill symbiont from her host. He did not provide further information on her whereabouts.
Following notification of the commodore’s disappearance to the senior crew, plans to rescue their Commanding Officer commenced. Meanwhile, acting commanding officer Commander Saveron received a subspace message from Elder, a Kaelon Syndicate member. The Syndicate, according to this former Commanding Officer of one of the previously stated wrecked ships, planned to remove Commodore Rajel’s Trill symbiont from her host. He didn’t say anything else regarding her location.
Surprisingly, not all Senior Officers participated in this rescue effort. Lieutenant Commander Lazarus Davis stayed on the Constitution to oversee the ship’s remaining repairs. It was unclear if he opted to stay or was forced to.
Wra’k remained sceptical, stating, “I’ve observed gravimetric aberrations before, and it isn’t one of them. That appears to be a cloaked spacecraft to me.”
He further collated data from publicly available sources to compare the anomaly with cloaked ships and thought he had a match. “If I were a gambling gruba, I’d say it looks suspiciously like an ancient Romulan ship. But why is it parked there, and why isn’t Starfleet concerned?”
When questioned, the Admiral’s office reaffirmed the science experiment but could not explain it in detail, informing reporters that the results will be forwarded once the experiment was complete.
It remains to be seen whether this finding was a fortuitous coincidence. The primary goal at the present is to find the abducted Commodore. Is the staff going to get there on time? Will they be able to track down Rajel and contact her before time runs out and she and her symbiont perish?
