ESPERANCE, THE SHOALS – The Veritas, arriving at Esperance Star Station for repairs and resupply, celebrates a wedding.
After a patrol through the Shoals that lasted over a year, the USS Veritas, NCC-95035, has arrived at Star Station Esperance for much needed rest and relaxation for her crew, and repairs and resupply for the ship herself.
Otherwise known as the Gateway to the Federation, Esperance a non-Federation, picturesque M class planet, with the station itself rising from a massive ground complex into a towering structure that reaches low orbit, housing over eighteen million people. These massive facilities provide all of the luxuries that an exhausted starship crew could need, reports Reza Kardgar.
“The Veritas isn’t like Starfleet’s big exploration ships,” stated Chief Petty Officer Lunat Drys, Captain Roshanara Rahman’s yeoman. “Our space for recreation is limited, so a place like Star Station Esperance is such a relief to be able to go to, once in a while.”
In other news, two of the Veritas’ senior officers have taken this opportunity to marry. Lieutenant Commander Mei’konda, the Veritas’ first officer, and Lieutenant Commander Evan Delano, Veritas’ operations officer, were joined in matrimony on the surface of Esperance.
Officiating the wedding was Captain Roshanara Rahman, and the wedding party was joined by several distinguished guests, including Lieutenant Commander Rune Jolara of the Andaris Task Force, Commander Saveron of the USS Constitution, Captain Walter Brunsig of the USS Triumphant, Fleet Captain Aron Kells, the leader of the Invicta Expedition, Fleet Captain Cassandra Egan Manno of Astrofori One, and Rear Admiral Quinn Reynolds, commander of the USS Gorkon.
The Veritas is scheduled to resume her patrol of the Shoals later this month. But until then, her crew will continue to enjoy their much needed R&R.
