USS Constitution Crew enjoy their shoreleave with a Argo buggy Race!

DREVER IV – Rosem Desert disturbed by eager racers.

After the incident at Hermes Outpost, the crew of the USS Constitution NCC 9012-B had finally settled into a well-earned rest and relaxation. Promotions and ribbons had been awarded, while some officers took to Drever IV’s hiking trails. Others used the time to catch up on overdue reports and paperwork.

A brief moment of tension shook Security when an unauthorized access alert triggered in the ship’s armory. The issue turned out to be an expired authorization set during the emergency which had not been properly reset. Fortunately, Lt.JG Cain quickly resolved the matter in the Security Complex, preventing any disruption to shore leave.

For the ship’s newest personnel, the transition into their roles continued. Ens. Perax and G’doh received their clearances, allowing them to begin their duties aboard the Constitution. Meanwhile, the recall of the Cardassian Exchange Officer Imas Heeka is still hanging heavily in the air, while Staff brainstorms ideas on how to keep her on board.

The biggest event of the crew’s shore leave was the highly anticipated Second Drever IV Desert Argo Race, a competition that had been interrupted by the emergency at Hermes Outpost. Now, with the crew back at Drever IV, the race was ready to commence in the vast Rosem Desert.

The teams were as follows: Team Engineer consists of Rachel Flores, T’Seva, and Mingxing Shimisi. Team Trill consists of Indrid Yirah, Leran Pera,x and Laria Herren. Team Klingon was formed by Sherana, K’Vash and Ba’el. Team Security consists of Daniel Cain, Yito Seja, and Dinaes. Various lower deck teams joined the race as well, eager to prove themselves against the Senior Officers. The whole race is narrated by the commentators Torrel and the holographic hair stylist and fashion diva Georgio.

As the race began, engines roared to life, and the buggies shot forward, kicking up a storm of sand into the air, leaving the Starter T’Aven in the dusty cloud. The race quickly became challenging, with drivers struggling to maintain control on shifting terrain. More than a few racers found themselves veering dangerously close to protruding rocks. The second phase of the rave lead the teams to a split path of either choosing to take the route through the mountainsite, while the other lead into tunnels and caves through the mountain. Neither the racers nor the audience knows what awaits them.

“”Anyone could win! These racers are really driven to give it their best. And have you seen the fashion? It is a good day to race in style!”” Georgio let us know in between comments.

The whole race track is observed by cameras that transfer the event onto large screens at the starting area and the Salloon on the Constitution. For the spectators that were watching from the cameras and PADDs, it was not obvious who actually had the lead and who was behind. The racers push their vehicles knowing that only one of them could win!”
