TYRELLIAN SYSTEM — After being Missing In Action for a year, the USS Gorkon (NCC-82293) docked at Iana Station to give the crew the opportunity to take some much needed rest and recuperation time.
While fighting for their own survival in an altered timeline where the Borg ruled the world and had assimilated most of the Alpha Quadrant and beyond, the crew of the Gorkon had escaped the ramifications that had occurred during and after Frontier Day. Imagine their surprise when the crew heard that Starfleet had experienced their own issues with the Borg while life continued during the absence of the Sovereign starship.
Iana Station and its moon Palanon not only welcomed the Gorkon itself, but also ships carrying family and friends from all over, eager to see their loved ones again. Merchants, shopkeepers and markets took advantage of the celebrations, with reunions and gatherings happening in Arnali, the Mestrata Farms, Cordina Valley, or the Cyrintha Forest on Palanon or at Bessail Point on Iana Station.
Some of the crew preferred to visit the familiar Songbird, Sto’vo’kor, the Brew Continuum, the lounges on the Gorkon itself, or even the holodecks, while others visited their homestead at Idridi on Betazed.
Here at FNS we have some inside news to share. We have read all the reports and more written by aspiring reporter Ens. Will Weg while living among the Borg for a year and we are happy to announce that after another trial period of six months, we will offer him a full position with our News Service.
“Isn’t that excellent news, I get to be a real reporter,” there was a brief pause as Ens. Will Weg, double-checked his hair in the reflection of a PADD. “There is never a dull moment among the crew of the Gorkon. They’re probably already debating what will be their next adventure. Visiting the inside of a lava stream?” He lowered his voice before he continued. “Have you ever wondered what happened to the Borg Sphere the Gorkon’s crew stole? It had a cloaking device, maybe they brought it with them through that time vortex. It might even be orbiting Iana Station as we speak.”
Once Will Weg finds out more information about it all, we will be the first to bring you up-to-date.
