Gorkon resides in Utopia Planitia spacedock for upgrades and ceremonies

SOL SYSTEM — The USS Gorkon (NCC-82293) is in spacedock at Utopia Planitia, and the ship’s crew is wrapping up their shore vacation with a celebration following their recent award ceremony.

The ship’s crew and senior personnel received not just the customary ribbons, but also well-deserved promotions, to honour the success of their most recent operation. Meru Tahna, Jhyrazhao sh’Kavhilji, and Megan Bendyn were promoted to Lieutenant JGs, and each received a half pip. Orson Marshall was promoted to Lieutenant Commander, while Lena Josett was advanced to full Lieutenant.

The celebrations did not end there. Jo Marshall, the Gorkon’s First Officer, was promoted to Commander after receiving her third full pip.

The biggest acclaim, however, was reserved for Quinn Reynolds, who was elevated to Vice Admiral.

Following in the footsteps of the Gorkon, the celebrations comprised a profusion of food and beverages from all across the galaxy and began with magnificent fireworks above the Michael Collins Dome on Luna. Lieutenant Commander Caedan Nkai arranged the music once more.

Meanwhile, engineers installed the Warp XV-drive, but reports from the ship itself were more difficult.

The turbolifts seemed to have brains of their own, transporting the crew to unexpected locations. While the computer was down, all deliveries were sent to Lieutenant Commander Jona ch’Ranni’s office, where he had to deal with the situation manually.

“You should’ve seen that,” one of the dockyard workers observed. “It was a strapless orange dress. It was stunning. I couldn’t do it with my legs.”

Mechanical problems were not the only ones that surfaced. Creatures looked to have taken possession of the spacecraft while the crew was visiting Earth or nearby worlds. Dogs went wild, destroying the Arboretum, and vermin appeared to infect the ship.

Our most recent report also stated that a Klingon was pursuing the vermin via the Jefferies tunnels. However, we have yet to contact such an officer in order to verify these assertions.
