You may have noticed an increase in our social media activity. For those of you who may not know, social media can be a powerful tool to help grow our fleet by providing content that people enjoy and want to engage with, thus increasing our potential reach. In addition to that, having an active social media presence can help boost our site’s Google rankings, meaning our page will show higher on Google searches.
Increasing our reach and rankings means we’ll be able to expose our fleet to more people. More people means more cadets, leading to greater opportunities for us.
What can you do to help?
One of the biggest things you can do for us is to follow us on our social media platforms. You can find us at:
Facebook
Twitter
Tumblr
Youtube
Instagram
With recent changes to Facebook’s newsfeed, there is an extra step. Head to our Facebook page, click where is says: “Following” -> “In Your News Feed” -> “See First”. Essentially this means everytime we post something, it will appear towards the top of your news feed.
Like, Comment and Share content
The more people who engage with our content, the more people outside of our community we can reach. As an example, a recent Facebook post that was liked 18 times, commented on twice and shared 3 times reached over 160 people who weren’t part of our fleet.
Submissions
We are always on the lookout for content related to Star Trek, space, science or writing. It could be a quote from a sim, an image or video or even a link. Basically, if you think something would interest the community, let us know!
Ideas
We would love to hear your suggestions and hear about the types of content you would like to see.
