Murderer Captured on the Cruise Liner Meredia

STARLINER MEREDIA — After attacking fellow cruise passengers a murderous author was apprehended by Starfleet crew.
Following attacks on several popular murder mystery authors on board the luxury Starliner Meredia, the crew of StarBase 118 launched a full investigation into the crimes. With two authors dead and two more in critical condition, the remaining cruise passengers were moved to their quarters as the cruise ship was searched for evidence. However the murderer had tampered with the holographic core of the ship causing the Meredia’s interior to keep changing through different cruise themes and covering the murderer’s escape. While Lt. Commander Hael worked to fix the holo core, teams from across the ship started to look for Ms. Ardel, an eye witness who was acting suspicious.
At the same time Lt. Commander Trel’lis and Lieutenant Kasun were working with Federation investigator Jian Kuan Yuen to uncover an illegal animal smuggling ring run by the Pelian trader Mersian Dels. At first they believed that Dels was also behind the murders but there was no evidence to connect him to anything beyond illegal animal trade. Suspicion heavily fell on the missing Ms. Ardel.
Ms. Ardel’s plans for escape were thwarted by Captain Taybrim and Ensign Lyndsay who cornered her and forced a confession. She was quickly apprehended by security as Starfleet teams worked to correct the computer malfunctions and return the Starliner Meredia to full operational order.
“You should have seen it!” catering assistant Havnek Joahn commented to reporters. “She was seriously riding this gigantic holographic wolf and yelling about how she was the best author and all these people had stolen her work. If it wasn’t for those Starfleet officers she might have gotten away with it, too!”
After all was settled on the Starliner Meredia the crew of StarBase 118 returned for a well deserved rest, welcoming on board new security officer ensign Braddock and enjoying some downtime.
