Three light years from DS17, USS Kodiak, NCC-800101-B successfully neutralized Omega Particles created by a secret Tzenkethi research colony. The particles creation had resulted in geological instabilities that threatened the colonies surviving inhabitations. Kodiak with other ships in the area begin a rescue operation to move the Tzenkethi to a safer refugee camp on the other side of the planet. During the operation Cmdr Rhys Bejain and LtCmdr Solok evacuate an injured Tzenkethi to one of the two Tzenkethi ship
