Applications and Academy Graduates: March 2021

Every month, the Academy staff works to compile the statistics about our recruiting and training for the fleet’s informational purposes. Let’s take a look at how we did as a fleet in March.

This first graph depicts the number of applications that the fleet has received each month this year. The month of March saw six applications, down from February’s nine applications.

The following chart shows how our new members found us, according to their application:

This final graph shows how many people graduated from the Academy during the month of March. The fleet saw six new graduates during the month, increasing this year’s graduate percentage from 53% to 65%. This is down from the overall graduation rate of 71% in 2020. However, the annual graduation rate continued to steadily increase since January and is highly likely to shift further as we get deeper into 2021. It should be noted that two cadets who applied in February didn’t complete their training until March and one of the cadets who completed an application this month didn’t conclude their training class until April.

These new recruits are the lifeblood of our community. Without them, it becomes difficult to keep our ships fully crewed and even more difficult to grow the fleet. If you’d like to help us recruit more members and grow our fleet, you can join the Publicity Team using this form.

Applications and Academy Graduates: February 2021

Every month, the Academy staff works to compile the statistics about our recruiting and training for the fleet’s informational purposes. Let’s take a look at how we did as a fleet in February.

This first graph depicts the number of applications that the fleet has received each month this year. The month of February saw nine applications, the highest since last November.

The following chart shows how our new members found us, according to their application:

This final graph shows how many people graduated from the Academy during the month of February. The fleet saw 5 new graduates during the month, increasing this year’s graduate percentage from 50% to 53%. This is down from the overall graduation rate of 71% in 2020. This annual graduation rate is highly likely to shift as we get deeper into 2021. It should be noted that two of the cadets who completed applications this month didn’t begin their training class until March.

These new recruits are the lifeblood of our community. Without them, it becomes difficult to keep our ships fully crewed and even more difficult to grow the fleet. If you’d like to help us recruit more members and grow our fleet, you can join the Publicity Team using this form.

APPLICATIONS AND ACADEMY GRADUATES FOR JANUARY 2021

Every month, the Academy staff works to compile the statistics about our recruiting and training for the fleet’s informational purposes. Let’s take a look at how we did as a fleet in January.

This first graph depicts the number of applications that the fleet has received each month of the current year. The month of January saw eight new applications, which shows a slight decrease from December of 2020.

The following chart shows how our new members found us, according to their application, with Google Search leading the way:

These final graphs show how many people graduated from the Academy during the month of January 2021 as well as what percentage of applicants graduated. The fleet saw 4 new graduates during the month, a 50% graduation rate. This is down from the overall graduation rate of 71% in 2020. This annual graduation rate is highly likely to shift as we get deeper into 2021.

These new recruits are the lifeblood of our community. Without them, it becomes difficult to keep our ships fully crewed and even more difficult to grow the fleet. If you’d like to help us recruit more members and grow our fleet, you can join the Publicity Team using this form.

Applications and Academy Graduates for November and December 2020

Every month, the Academy staff works to compile the statistics about our recruiting and training for the fleet’s informational purposes. Let’s take a look at how we did as a fleet across November and December 2020.

This first graph depicts the number of applications that the fleet has received each month this year. In November, we saw 12 new applications which is a nice bump from last month!

In December we saw four new applications which is significantly lower than what we saw in November.

December Academy Applications

The following chart shows how our new members found us, according to their application. A varied list of sources for November, but as always Google is our leader:

For December we saw Google in the lead once again:

This final graph shows how many people graduated from the Academy during the month of November. The fleet saw three new graduates during the month, which is slightly less than we saw in October. Five applicants started training in November but won’t be counted until December’s tally if they graduate.

The fleet saw eight new graduates during December, which is three more than we saw in November, despite having received only 4 applications over the month. This is partially accounted for by the fact that two applicants who applied at the end of November did not finish training until after the beginning of December.

These new recruits are the lifeblood of our community. Without them, it becomes difficult to keep our ships fully crewed and even more difficult to grow the fleet. If you’d like to help us recruit more members and grow our fleet, you can join the Publicity Team using this form.
