Risa — After an emotional mission to the asteroid formerly known as the USS Resolution, the crew of the Artemis-A relax on the famous pleasure planet.
Leaving behind the planetoid created during the detonation of the Genesis Device aboard the USS Resolution, the crew of the Artemis-A take their shore leave on the infamous resort planet of Risa.
The last time this crew visited the planet, back when they were serving aboard the USS Excalibur-A, was immediately after the loss of the Resolution, where over a dozen lives were lost, in addition to the Nova-class ship. During that shore leave, many of the crew were interviewed by VAdml. Quinn Reynolds as part of the inquiry into the final moments of the ship.
Now, however, it seems the crew are in better spirits, with many of the crew considering visits not just to the beaches and resorts of Risa, but also sampling the more cultural delights of the planet, including the Risan Museum of History.
But it’s not all fun and games, however, with Lt. Gila Sadar leading a small excursion to Laoi III, a Federation colony in close proximity to the former Demilitarised Zone bordering Cardassian space.
“We’ve not heard from them in while though,” said Acting First Officer Cmdr. Genkos Adea, “I’m sure it’s fine though”.
Other members of the crew are spending their time visiting the counsellors aboard the Artemis, who, rumour has it, have wall-to-wall appointments for the next few weeks. Of course, this is supremely important as mental health is just as important as physical health when it comes to serving in Starfleet.
Speaking of which, new crewmember Ens. Tho’Bi is supposedly meant to have arrived on board the Artemis for the first time with a large gash down the side of his face. Rumours that this was caused in an altercation with the Andorian Guard remain unconfirmed, however.
