KERRET’RAA — During a diplomatic venture to create a treaty between two rival Klingon houses vying for the same forest of valuable tlhaQnorgh, or ‘Unyielding Wood’ local authorities arrested Lieutenant Korras on charges of counterfeiting tlhaQnorgh and dishonor against the Klingon Empire.
Old rivalries rear their ugly heads as Lt. Korras is arrested on charges of counterfeiting tlhaQnorgh and for dishonour against the Klingon Empire. Storming into his family home on Kerret’raa, members of the rival House Kar-a-desh crashed a lovely dinner party and sent Cmdr. Gogigobo Fairhug, LtCmdr. Solaris McLaren and Ens. Samuel Woolheater scrambling to uncover why decades old charges were brought back to haunt Lt. Korras. Mounting an effective legal defense, Cmdr. Fairhug sent his teams to uncover what was really going on in the forests of Kerret’raa, while his team focused on the growing rivalry between House Grimlar and House Kar-a-desh. Both Houses have accused each other of manufacturing and disseminating counterfeit tlhaQnorgh or ‘Unyielding Wood’ for distribution.
LtCmdr. Shar’Wyn Foster, Lts. Vitor Tito and Karen Stendhal, and Ens. Ryden Kel set out to track down the source of deadly tree blight and quickly discovered that there was foul play in the scientific research area. An experiment in replicating the tlhaQnorgh caused a nucleonic radiation leak which started mutating the local plants and wildlife. After fending off some mutated wild animals, the team retreated back to the USS Aegis to be treated for radiation exposure. Once it was confirmed that no one was mutating – yet – the team decided to don EVA suits and return to the planet for more investigations.
“Whatever happened, it didn’t look good.” stated orderly Quentin Boss. “They needed both decontamination and sterilization. Mud and blood and vomit – ugh, it was nasty. And then… they go right back down again! I mean this time with protection, but that’s just crazy if you ask me! I would have gone straight to bed after that!”
Alongside the research team, Lts. Evan Ross and Haukea Willow met with Warden Kervas to tour the wood processing facility and to venture out into the forest. Lt. Ross had specific orders to try to pinpoint the counterfeit wood operation and grew curious about the scientific research area, which Kervas deemed ‘unnatural.’ Lt. Willow investigated who frequented the area as the entire team moved towards a central watchtower to get a birds eye view of the forest.
Lt. Madison Marsh, along with Doctor Corey Wethern and Lt. JG Sasch Kreshkova accompanied Lt. Korras to serve as both his protection and defense. With a two-pronged investigation questioning both Korras’s family and the prosecutor, the team uncovered the roots of the conflict for control of the precious tlhaQnorgh trees. With a growing scheme to make more profit though less than honorable means and a bunch of false charges against Lt. Korras, it’s a race against time to prove Korras’ innocence and solve the mystery of the blighted trees and foul play on Kerret’raa.rded the USS Aegis and is en route to Lieutenant Korras’ homeworld of Kerret’raa for a diplomatic mission.
