PARTHA EXPANSE – Recently dispatched to investigate an anomaly, the USS Chin’toka goes missing.
Communication with the USS Chin’toka has been lost. It is known that the ship was recently sent to investigate an anomaly in the Partha Expanse. Said anomaly was first discovered by the USS Diligent, who reportedly picked up a distress call in the same area. FltCapt. Mei’konda Delano dispatched the USS Chin’toka, being the nearest available starship. Initial reports from the region showed the presence of chroniton particles, which signalling the possibility of a temporal disturbance.
An agent from the Department of Temporal Investigation had this to say, “no comment”.
Prior to their tasking, the USS Chin’toka had been in orbit of the lunar base at Paldor II, continuing to assist in the planning and rebuilding of the base after an attack that both destroyed Starbase 26 and inflicted a considerable amount of damage to the lunar base. There seemed to be some initial hesitation on the part of the Caraadians to accept help due to recent events that show an escalation from the Valcarians, and even some evidence of interference from the Romulan Free State. Purportedly, negotiations between the Caraadians and the Federation, through the crew of the USS Chin’toka, came to an amicable conclusion. This signals that the United Federation of Planets continue to support finding a peaceful solution for the Partha Expanse.
During their time at Paldor II the crew of the USS Chin’toka had received multiple accolades for their actions in defense of Paldor II. Numerous awards for leadership and innovation were handed out to various members of the crew. We’d like to recognize two awards, in particular, given to Lt. T’Ama and LtJG Is’Kah Xiron. Both were awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained in the line of duty. We hope both have fully recovered and are able to continue with their duties.
