NORKAN SYSTEM – The USS Narendra investigates the mysterious disappearance of the USS Vigilant
The crew of StarBase 118 Ops set off on the USS Narendra to tackle an interstellar mystery in the Norkan system. The USS Vigilant disappeared outside Romulan space.
The Vigilant is commanded by Armand Delacroix, the academy mentor of Lt. Sasch Kreshkova. After a sudden disappearance under suspicious circumstances, Lt. Kreshkova started an investigation. According to the released telemetry, one moment the Valiant was there and the next, it was simply gone.
Lt. Kreshkova went through the USS Valiant’s logs – there were no mentions of anything amiss in said logs. She decided to check the backups – which were exactly the same as the primary logs, but on a whim, she tried the second-tier backups. These were different from both the primary logs and the backups. This time, she found six mentions of ‘sensor ghosts,’ ‘unexplained spatial phenomenon,’ or ‘spatial distortions. Calling in Lt. Evan Ross the two found that the security clearance on the disappearance of the Valiant was higher than it should be for an ordinary disappearance.
After some duress Lt. Ross brought the matter to Cmdr. Gogigobo Fairhug and LtCmdr. Shar’Wyn Foster. After a deeper look into the matter the crew discovered there was likely a cover up, that may be related to the security breaches produced by Frontier Day
Cmdr. Fairhug mobilised the USS Narendra and set a course for the Norkan system. The crew anxiously awaits what they will find at the edge of Romulan space.
