Sol System — Fitting Reward?
The pirate crew of the USS Chin’toka takes leave on Earth as the ship is put in for repairs. During the events of Frontier Day, the ship was commandeered to aid against the Borg assault on Earth, supposedly using stolen command codes belonging to one FltAdml. Wolf. It is unclear at this time if this change will be left in place, but we have yet to hear of any of the crew being recalled to their prior posts and there has been no official response from Starfleet Command on the situation.
The crew seems to be on leave and many of them were spotted leaving the ship for Earth. But that doesn’t mean the ship has been without incident itself. A security crewman who was recently transferred off the ship told us a story about an attack on two of the senior officers. Purportedly, a group of them, under the influence of Orion pheromones and therefore in a rather suggestive state, decided to take out their frustrations on Lt. JG T’Ama. T’Ama was a victim of forced assimilation by the Borg. Ens. Daniel McGillian had come to the rescue before the situation had been finally halted through the use of a pheromone neutraliser by T’Ama. The ship’s doctor, V’Len Kel, had this to say, “Where did T’Ama get her medical degree?”
Various members of the crew have been spotted on Earth. From San Francisco, New Zealand, Baltimore, and Ireland. With obvious connections to San Francisco, it doesn’t surprise us that many of the crew are revisiting old haunts, possibly reliving their days as cadets. And Ballinaclashett being the home of the First Officer, Aine Sherlock, it signals a homecoming of sorts for many of the Terran crewmembers. But the big news down on the planet is the imminent wedding of Cmdr. Serala to Ambassador Jorin. Word is that Capt. Mei’konda of the USS Astraeus will be officiating the ceremony at the family estate in Bogotá with members of both crew in attendance.
