Once repairs were completed, the USS Gemini, NCC-80564, left StarBase 118 and headed to StarBase 224 for a routine resupply run.
Meanwhile, Commander Liam Frost received urgent news: The people of Rathos Prime, a warp-capable society that traded with – but never joined – the Federation, were being plagued by an aggressive population. The leaders of Rathos Prime had reached out to the Federation for humanitarian aid before this pathogen infected and killed them all.
Knowing time was short, Frost gave the order to head directly there and called a briefing where the Senior Staff could establish a plan of action. Without knowing more about the pathogen, other than it was continuously mutating and always lethal, the staff had their work cut out for them. Thankfully, when they were about four hours away, the Commander of the Rathosian Armada, Lord Commander Tyrek Zim, contacted them and began transmitting all known data on the pathogen. First Minister Arvin Zagan and Doctor Jorgen Layvim also contacted the Gemini to help the Gemini’s crew start working on a solution, however it left many wondering more about the source of the pathogen and if there was more to this problem than the Rathosian’s were letting on. When they arrived at Rathos Prime, it was determined that T’Mar would lead a team to the surface utilizing the ship’s mobile lab.

There are many types of characters that inhabit the world of Starbase 118, and many different positions to be held within Starfleet. For many, the ultimate goal is to advance through the ranks and become the commanding officer of one’s own star ship. It takes time, dedication, and hard work to achieve this goal. Today, we’re going to find out a little bit about the writer behind one of the characters who has stepped up and successfully slipped into the commanding chair – Commander Liam Frost.
DeVeau: So, let’s start from the beginning. How long have you been at SB118 and how did you come to find this group?
Frost: I joined the group just about three and a half years ago. The short version of how I came to be in this group is through a friend of a friend. I’ve had an interest in Creative Writing RPGs for many years. A good friend of mine (currently writing for LtCmdr Oliver Weston) heard about the group from a friend of his. We both decided to have a go at it and we’ve been here ever since.
The folks at UFOP: SB118 are pleased to announce the promotion of Lieutenant Commander Liam Frost to the rank of Commander. Serving aboard the USS Apollo under command of Fleet Captain Andrus Jaxx, there should be no shortage of work for him to do.
Commander Frost got his start as a tactical ensign aboard the USS Victory, and explored other areas such as helm and navigation. Eventually he became the ship’s Chief of Security and Tactical. After serving in this capacity on the Victory, Liam served in the same position at Starbase 118 Ops, during which he was promoted to full Lieutenant. After taking part in the creation and defense of the Thracian Alliance, Frost was transferred once more to the newly commissioned USS Apollo, to where he served as the ship’s first officer and Lieutenant Commander.
With his continued efforts in the OOC realm as well as his duties on the Apollo, Commander Frost will continue to serve our community, and we all look forward to seeing what’s in store for him. Congratulations, Commander!
