Every month, the Academy staff works to compile the statistics about our recruiting and training for the fleet’s informational purposes. Let’s take a look at how we did as a fleet in March.
This first graph depicts the number of applications that the fleet has received each month this year. The month of March saw six applications, down from February’s nine applications.
The following chart shows how our new members found us, according to their application:
This final graph shows how many people graduated from the Academy during the month of March. The fleet saw six new graduates during the month, increasing this year’s graduate percentage from 53% to 65%. This is down from the overall graduation rate of 71% in 2020. However, the annual graduation rate continued to steadily increase since January and is highly likely to shift further as we get deeper into 2021. It should be noted that two cadets who applied in February didn’t complete their training until March and one of the cadets who completed an application this month didn’t conclude their training class until April.
These new recruits are the lifeblood of our community. Without them, it becomes difficult to keep our ships fully crewed and even more difficult to grow the fleet. If you’d like to help us recruit more members and grow our fleet, you can join the Publicity Team using this form.
