Velana: Winner of the August Writing Challenge

Congratulations to Kristen, the writer behind Velana, whose short story “The Life in a Moment” has won the special August Writing Challenge of 2012!  This is the writer’s second win, following a victory in the January/February 2012 contest. This special short August Challenge was built around the theme of “A Moment In The Life Of…” as chosen by Dave, the writer behind Alleran Tan, the previous round’s winner; this Challenge saw quite a number of fine entries, including short stories and poetry — but all under 1000 words — making the judging quite difficult for the panel. However, the judges would like to thank everyone who participated, and look forward to the September/October Challenge, the details of which will be announced soon!
