Starbase 118 Ops Plot Summary for August

Badly shaken by the loss of Lt. Commander Hunt, the crew of Starbase 118 have no time to mourn.  Scarlet Brotherhood Terrorists are still at large on the station, and attempts at capture fail due to the fanatics’ willingness to suicide rather than be taken prisoner.
While in the midst of dealing with this, a mysterious freighter approaches the Starbase, laden with explosives.  The Victory, its systems unaffected by the terrorist attack, is launched to deal with this threat.  All senior staff are beamed aboard, and through concerted efforts from the engineering team and the base’s fighter squadrons, the freighter is stopped.  The Victory uses its tractor beam to propel the deadly ship safely away from the station before it explodes.
Meanwhile, the security and science teams are working on identifying and capturing the remaining terrorists on the station by scanning for a poisonous substance all of the Brotherhood operatives carry.  Dozens of terrorists are identified, stunned, and held in a secure location for questioning.
Successful but with many injuries sustained, the crew docks once again and returns to the station to begin repairs, heal their wounds, and mourn their fallen comrade.
