You’ve just earned your first ribbon!

What’s a ribbon?
As your character progresses through the ranks, he or she will earn awards and distinctions. One type of distinction you can earn is an In Character “Service Ribbon.” These are assigned to your characters for their achievements.
You can display your ribbons, and other awards you earn, on a ribbon rack on your character wiki page. A member of your new crew will help you setup your page. Once it’s created, read the ribbon display page for more information about adding your ribbon rack to your wiki page.
What happens now?
As your graduation letter mentioned, we are looking for a place for you within our fleet. Please give our Fleet Placement Officer a few days to find you the perfect position.
Once we have found you a position, your new Commanding Officer (CO) and/or First Officer (FO) will contact you directly. You may also, concurrently, receive an invitation to the Google Group (email list) for your vessel, and a Google Group for “OOC” discussion on your vessel. Please be on the look-out for these invitations, and accept them if they require further action on your part. Your CO or FO will be responsible for giving you a brief summary of the current plot on your vessel, and also telling you what to do next.
In the unlikely event that you have not heard from anyone within 72 hours, please use this form to contact the Training Team. Someone will respond to you immediately and fix the problem.
You’re going to get a few emails in the next 24 hours, and we want to make sure you’re prepared them, and not confused by what they mean! Here’s a checklist of what you’ll see:
- Wiki user name and password: you will receive a message with your wiki login information. More information about the wiki is below.
- Your ship list & OOC list registration: you will receive two automated messages either inviting you to, or notifying you of subscription to your ship list (where you’ll send your sims), and the OOC email list for your ship.
- Welcome email from your ship CO or FO: your Commanding Officer or First Officer will email directly to welcome you to your ship.

We’ve put together a guide for ensigns like you to get acquainted with the fleet and figure out what to do next.
