The Executive Council of UFOP: StarBase 118 is proud to announce the recommissioning of the USS Resolution (NCC-78145) under Fleet Captain Kalianna Nicholotti. As our fleet continues to grow, this ninth active vessel will help ensure both current and new members have room to play their preferred duty posts and advance in their characters’ career arcs!
Hidden in plain sight, the Borderlands have become a hotbed of activity. Reports coming from this sector along the Klingon border speak to increased traffic and activity. From strange signals coming from the Celendi nebula, to reports of potential pirate ships preying on ships using the lone shipping lane through the mostly unexplored and uncharted sector, a wealth of opportunity exists in the vacuum left when the Federation pulled the last ship assigned to the area. Now, it is left to the crew of the newly recommissioned USS Resolution to reach out and discover what is unknown, bring stability back to the region with their presence, and boldly go where no one has gone before!
Returning to the golden age of exploration, the versatile Nova class vessel will focus on exploring the Borderlands, which despite being fairly close to StarBase 118 and other well-charted areas of the galaxy, has yet to be fully explored. Like any uncharted region not directly controlled by a distinct power, the Borderlands is home to new races, alliances, and familiar faces. Scientific enigmas dot the area, from the Briar Patch all the way to the Azure Nebula. With so much unknown, the ship is certain to engage in missions that range from diplomacy to pure discovery and everything in between. Critical to the opening of new positions throughout the fleet, this vessel will need a crew with a drive to explore and uphold the best traditions of Starfleet as they blaze their own path to the stars.
About Fleet Captain Kalianna Nicholotti

She founded the Image Collective team, which continues to operate to this day, providing amazing graphics for our fleet and its members.

Are you interested in joining us in this launch? Act quickly and submit your transfer request using our standard transfer form. The roster for new ships generally close within 48 hours of our first announcement going out.
Here’s why you should consider a transfer
Want a change of scenery? A new duty post? Transferring is a chance to spread your wings and meet new friends. You’ll have the opportunity to help develop the tone and feel of the sim while being a part of our fleet expansion on a new vessel with fresh stories. By launching a new vessel, we can open new positions for incoming members to ensure that everyone is more likely to get their first choice duty post.
Your promotion progress is secure
- Your current captain will provide details about your promotion progression to your new commanding officer, including what kind of work you’ve done for your current ship, to ensure that you’re still on the same timeline for a promotion as you were previously.
Check your eligibility to transfer
- Transfer requests will be considered from all vessels except the recently launched USS Arrow, whose crew under Commander Shayne is still settling in on their new ship.
We’re also accepting transfers of secondary characters but only those that have been already established – no new secondaries are allowed at this time. Chief and Assistant Chief positions will be designated based on availability and experience.
Start your transfer now!
Your captain has already been briefed about this launch, and you are encouraged to submit your transfer form if you’d like to be considered for placement on the USS Resolution. Our community staff are in agreement that helping to alleviate overcrowding on our ships is good for everyone, and you will be considered for a transfer as long as you are eligible per above and submit a transfer request using the form.
This transfer request won’t affect your standing on your current vessel if you aren’t transferred to the new ship.
Simply fill out the form below with your contact information. We’ll add you to the list of potential crew for the launch and you’ll be notified later this week as to whether you’ve been accepted. Unfortunately, not everyone who submits this form will be able to transfer due to space considerations. Please note that we are not accepting new secondaries or PNPCs at this time – primary characters and established/existing secondaries only.
Proceed to our standard transfer form if you’re interested in being considered for placement aboard the USS Resolution.
