Act quickly to submit your transfer request if you’re wanting to join the new ship — we set positions on a first-come, first-served basis. Usually, the roster begins to fill up within 48 hours of our first announcement.
Why should I join the new ship?
We know that leaving your current ship can be hard, but a new ship brings lots of new people to sim with and learn about, while also giving you the opportunity to move up to a new role, like Department Chief. You’ll even have the opportunity develop the tone and feel of a new ship, while helping expand our overall community.
Each new ship we launch helps us add more open slots around the fleet for new Ensigns, ensuring that new members are more likely to get their first choice duty post. Meanwhile, it keeps the number of crew members down on each ship, so that each member gets more attention from the ship’s staff. These reasons make it more likely for new members to stay with the group long term, and therefore help us grow the fleet.
What about my promotion status and awards?
Your current captain will update Commander Reinard with your current promotion status and what kind of work you’ve done for your current ship. This will ensure that you’re still on the same time-line for a promotion as you were previously.
The awards being given have been “set in stone” with the group staff, and you will receive your award presentation on your current vessel. If your CO doesn’t present awards until after you’ve transferred, he or she will CC you on the presentation email. Either way, the awards you’ve been selected for will be yours, and you’ll be able to display them on your wiki profile.
Who’s eligible to transfer?
To help alleviate overcrowding on ships with large crews, we’re only accepting transfers from the following ships:
- Garuda (Mercury)
- StarBase 118 Ops
What positions are available?
This vessel is not accepting any Marine or Intelligence officers. There are seven open positions in the following departments:
Chief and Assistant Chief positions will be designated based on availability and experience.
Predicted sim rate: 250 sims per month / 9 sims per day
Sim rate for players: At least 3 sims per week
Start your transfer now!
Your captain has already been brief about the Darwin, and all staff are in agreement that members of our fleet are welcomed and encouraged to request a transfer if they’d like a spot on the new ship.
Simply fill out the form below with your contact information. We’ll add you to the list of potential crew for the Darwin, and you’ll be notified later this week as to whether you’ve been accepted. Not everyone who submits this form will be able to transfer, due to space considerations. If we have open slots, but can’t place you in your first or second duty post, we’ll ask you whether you want to try filling another role or not. This conversation won’t affect your standing on your current vessel.
