July plot summary for the Garuda

The booby traps planted on the USS Garuda, NCC-73809, some of which had exploded, were found to be Cardassian in origin. However, the crew did not have time to ponder this discovery for long as they needed to use the ship’s phasers to dehydrate an unstable volcanic mud dome that threatened to engulf the alien Eths’ city of Bocasa. With this threat neutralised, Captain Casandra Egan Manno asked for volunteers to go after Commander Harrison Ross, who had kidnapped Captain Quinn Reynolds and abandoned his team mates. He was eventually tracked down, and Reynolds was rescued but not before she had undergone terrible physical and mental torture at Ross’ hands. Ross managed to evade capture, and so the crew returned to their base at Deep Space Ten for some quiet shore leave and reflection. However, when they arrived they found out that the Federation had given joint control of the station to the Cardassians. Was this an olive branch for peace, or a partnership of peril?

The crew of USS Excalibur, NCC-41903-A, were called to a breakfast meeting by their new Captain, Fleet Captain Cascadia Rainier. Very quickly however, people began to suspect that something strange was going on as officers from the USS Darwin NCC-99312-A began to show up. In response to the worsening of a plague previously thought to have been solved the the crew of the Excalibur, a group calling itself Ralaaram Ocala has taken to harassing Federation traffic near the neutral zone. Further investigation reveals that Ralaaram Ocala translates into ‘Sky Fire’ the name of the Starfleet Doctor who came up with the much-lauded ‘Skyfire Cure’ which was thought to have originally cured the plague.

Wasting no time, the Captain set a course to the Onias Sector leaving the rest of the crew to spend their time finishing the repair work from the previous mission, discussing the recent crew and in some cases vessel change, and trying to gather what little information they knew about Ralaaram Ocala and even the Onias sector itself…

July plot summary for the USS Gemini

Once repairs were completed, the USS Gemini, NCC-80564, left StarBase 118 and headed to StarBase 224 for a routine resupply run.

Meanwhile, Commander Liam Frost received urgent news: The people of Rathos Prime, a warp-capable society that traded with – but never joined – the Federation, were being plagued by an aggressive population. The leaders of Rathos Prime had reached out to the Federation for humanitarian aid before this pathogen infected and killed them all.

Knowing time was short, Frost gave the order to head directly there and called a briefing where the Senior Staff could establish a plan of action. Without knowing more about the pathogen, other than it was continuously mutating and always lethal, the staff had their work cut out for them. Thankfully, when they were about four hours away, the Commander of the Rathosian Armada, Lord Commander Tyrek Zim, contacted them and began transmitting all known data on the pathogen. First Minister Arvin Zagan and Doctor Jorgen Layvim also contacted the Gemini to help the Gemini’s crew start working on a solution, however it left many wondering more about the source of the pathogen and if there was more to this problem than the Rathosian’s were letting on. When they arrived at Rathos Prime, it was determined that T’Mar would lead a team to the surface utilizing the ship’s mobile lab.

July plot summary for the USS Atlantis

As the hemorrhagic outbreak spreads throughout the ship, it is learned that everyone on board is actually infected with the virus! To make matters worse, studying the toxin led to the activation of a failsafe mechanism that both broadcast the Atlantis’ coordinates to the mysterious creators of the toxin as well as took most systems on board offline. With incoming unidentified vessels on an intercept course, the crew is forced to land and hide the ship on a nearby M-class planet.

The triggered failsafe mechanism also activated a sleeper agent within the crew. Ensign Asmara, acting on the superconscious commands of an enigmatic and powerful entity, almost murders a nurse before escaping into the woods as soon as the ship lands. Later the crew discovers that the outbreak was merely a diversion by this unseen enemy in order to extract valuable information about the Federation via a powerful computer virus.

Fortunately, Dr Foster’s team manages to find an antitoxin and save the crew as well as revive the comatose commanding officer. Asmara’s meeting with the super-race is thwarted by the crew and the link controlling him is severed, but the aliens manage to escape before being identified. With power to the ship restored, the Atlantis begins preparations to head back to DS26 for a much needed shore leave.. only to discover that EJS ships are waiting in orbit to fire upon them!
