Sol System – Starfleet Makes the Relaunch of the Chin’toka Official
As previously reported, the “pirate” crew of the U.S.S. Chin’toka had been seen taking a shore leave on Earth in the Sol system. The usual revelry ensued with visits by some of the crew to various known watering holes in San Francisco and Baltimore. A handful were seen in the small town of Ballinaclashett, Ireland, where there was purportedly some spooky happenings. Doctor V’Len Kel had this to say, “The people of Ireland are very welcoming…even the dead ones.” The locals declined interviews.
The wedding between the now Captain of the Chin’toka and Ambassador Jorin seemingly went off without a hitch in Bogotá, Columbia. The event was attended by the crew, family, and associates of the couple. The wedding was purportedly arranged and managed by Lieutenant T’Ama to include the flower arrangements of Motley Meriania, Aphrodite’s Orchid, and the Christmas Orchid to represent the Commanders home of Columbia. With colors of emerald green and deep violet to represent her Romulan heritage. Perhaps a future career as a wedding planner for the Lieutenant? Commander Serala had this to say, “With everything that has happened to me recently, I couldn’t be more excited right now. It’s a new chapter in my life in so many ways.”
During the ceremonies recognizing those involved in the events of Frontier Day, it was made official that Commander Serala will be Captaining the Chin’toka going forward. Starfleet seemed to see fit that the “stealing” of the ship was in the best interests of security and safety. Any possible charges against the ad hoc Captain and crew have not been brought forward. During the ceremony, many of the crew were awarded for acts of valor performed during Frontier Day. In addition, Ensigns Is’Kah and Daniel McGillian were promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade. And Lieutenants Junior Grade Kim Stapledon and T’Ama were promoted to Lieutenant. “I appreciate the trust and responsibility that Commander Serala has placed upon me. I am looking forward to my journey into leadership,” said (now) Lieutenant Junior Grade Is’Kah.
We have learned that the Chin’toka is departing Earth for the Partha Expanse, serving near the U.S.S. Astraeus.
