Crew of USS Thor returns home with new peace agreement in tow

TYPHON EXPANSE — After an initial battle and invasion of the USS Thor, the crew has returned home after successfully negotiating a peace agreement between two species that had been fighting for generations.
After being unceremoniously dumped with the refuse by the previously unknown Ewo, the USS Thor and its crew were being drawn into a singularity, presumably to be destroyed. Efforts to break free from the singularity were thwarted by the leader of the Vouaht, Cremia Pal. “We cannot let the [Federation Forces] escape! They are our only bargaining chip!”
Pal’s efforts ultimately lead to the Thor, the Salty Profit, piloted by the Ewo, and Pal’s own ship, the Moxta, all being pulled through the singularity. While sensors indicated the singularity would destroy the ships, it was revealed to be a new type of wormhole leading to the long-lost, ancient Vouaht home system, now almost completely choked with garbage.
The Thor could not maneuver through the system due to the sheer amount of refuse, ranging in size from small cargo container-sized items to large ship hulls all of which served to block most sunlight from reaching the Vouaht Prime surface.
The sight of the Vouaht system, and the damage inflicted on it, was enough to bring about a short ceasefire between the three ships, which in turn gave Starfleet personnel a chance to step in and build upon the peace. In the end, the Ewo, Vouaht, and Starfleet, agreed to establish a jointly-operated base in the Typhon Expanse.
The Thor has returned home and Starfleet is sending design teams and other personnel to oversee the development of the base and other logistical details. The Thor’s crew also held a memorial service for crewmembers killed during the mission, including nine marines and six security officers. The command staff continued with a welcome reception for new crew members, followed by an awards ceremony. Starfleet Information spokesmen deny the rumors of growing tension between the ship’s executive officer and the marine commanding officer over the former’s handling of this incident.
