The speculation continues

If you have been following the Starbase 118Kirk and Harrison, from TrekMovie.com forum topic, New ST: Into Darkness Trailer, regarding the upcoming Star Trek movie, you’ll definitely be interested in what Damon Lindelof recently said about the villain in the movie.
We all know that Benedict Cumberbatch portrays the villain, but who is his character? Some have said that it’s Khan. Others believe it’s Garry Mitchell. The official reports identify Cumberbatch’s character as John Harrison, a terrorist from within Starfleet.
The producers have worked hard to keep the villain’s true identity a secret. The real shame would be that there is no secret identity and that what we’ve been told is all there is to the character. Whether I like J.J. Abrams’ version of Star Trek or not, I have to give him credit for his past projects, and especially the 2009 Star Trek movie, all of which surprised me and those with whom I’ve spoken. I feel confident in saying that there’s more to “John Harrison” than we know.
During an interview with the LA Times, Mr. Lindelof seemed to allude to the complexity of Kirk’s nemesis. He went on to explain that he wants the audience’s experience to be the same as the crew of the Enterprise. When Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and our other beloved heroes face their tormentor, we, the audience, will share their feelings, according to Lindelof.
In less than two months, we will have the answers to our questions about John Harrison, but until then, let the speculation continue on our forums.
