Writing Tips for People Who Don’t Write

Writing Tips for People Who Don’t Write

There are plenty of members within the Starbase 118 Fleet who really do not consider themselves writers. From command staff all the way down to the newest Ensigns, plenty of officers join not because they enjoy writing, but because they want to immerse themselves into the world of Star Trek. With the lack of recent series, it’s easy to see why so many people want to join in the fun; not only do they get to jump into a world that is both unique and fun, but they also get to have a real and profound effect on that world. At the same time, if you can’t write, just how do you get an entire sim complete?
It might sound like a difficult prospect, especially if you really don’t like to write, but there are resources out there to help those who would consider themselves anything but a writer. In fact, there is a whole website dedicated to writing for such people. If you don’t consider yourself a writer, but you’ve found your way here to Starbase 118, consider taking a short trip over to Confident Writing, where Joanna Paterson walks us through a variety of tools and ideas that can help even the worst of the non-writers come up with a real writing work of art.
It can be both daunting as well as overwhelming for non-writers in the Starbase 118 Fleet, but with the use of the right tools, everyone can easily get into the game and find their own niche while being able to convey it to the officers who are around them. In the end, words are all we have to convey our visions; learn how to put them together in a way that really brings those visions to life.
