Forums Roundup: July 2012

Share this:

Another month gone as the summer is in full swing for most of us. While the heat keeps a few of us indoors, there are plenty of things going on around the world to keep us busy. Some of those things are the updates and changes that you’ll find on the Starbase 118 forums! Here’s just a few things going on around the forums now that you can get into:

* A brand new contest, born of an older featured wiki article contest, has been ironed out and presented on the forums. If you know of a great wiki article that should get some attention or be shown off to the Fleet, nominate it to the Featured Bio Contest here: https://www.starbase118.net/forums/index.php?/forum/467-featured-bio-contest/.

* Join us in taking part in the Ongoing World’s First Person Fortnight by submitting an entry into the ‘First Person Only’ July writing challenge. There is no set topic; the only requirement is that you write it in first person! https://www.starbase118.net/forums/index.php?/topic/7390-july-2012-writing-challenge/.

* The Podcast team has been reformed! For more information, visit the forum home of the team here: https://www.starbase118.net/forums/index.php?/forum/300-podcasts/.

* Don’t forget about the IC duty post simming conferences going on right now on the forums. Join in and get to know some new officers from around the fleet! https://www.starbase118.net/forums/index.php?/forum/465-duty-post-simming/.

* Make sure to take a minute and welcome some of the newest members of the Fleet on our dedicated Welcome Thread! https://www.starbase118.net/forums/index.php?/topic/6645-welcome-thread/.

Remember, the forums are always changing and there are always new things going on there. Take a minute and check it out to see what’s new this month throughout the Starbase 118 Fleet!
