Keeping StarBase 118 on the web takes a lot of work; and money. Here's an estimate of what it costs us to keep our community up:

Because we feel that our community benefits from ad-free areas, we do not receive revenues from ad-agencies, which in turn means that you should not be seeing any pop-ups on our sites, nor should you be seeing ads imbedded in our pages. (If you are seeing pop-ups or ads, then you probably have spy-ware on your machine.)

Our staff can't carry the burden of the costs forever, even though we want to! We simply do not have the monetary resources to keep up with the costs. As such, we sincerely appreciate any assistance you can give us in keeping our website ad-free, and online.

You now have three options to help our group: The first is donating directly, which is the fastest and easiest way. The second way is buying items from Amazon.com, a popular online store through which you can find books, CDs, videos, DVDs... pretty much anything you can think of is online there! (Through a special "Associates" program, we earn a small portion of whatever items you buy from Amazon.) The third method is to purchase items from our UFOP Merchandise Store. This area has goods which have our logos and slogans on them, which you can then wear (or use) proudly!

Donating to UFOP Directly

You can now donate to UFOP by using PayPal, and Amazon.com's "Honor System". Both systems are fast and easy to use, and better yet, they're completely secure! PayPal is used by millions of people each month on EBay.com, and other well known sites, while Amazon.com also serves millions of transactions each month as people buy and sell goods through their online store.
