Personal History

Sven was born in Uppsala, Sweden located on the planet Earth. Uppsala is a city rich in Norse history and culture, located about 70 kilometers north of Stockholm. Growing up in Uppsala was difficult at times for Sven. Although he enjoyed walking the paths that ran along the Fyris River, he longed for the opportunity to travel. His siblings were quite content to remain in their hometown, to be close to family and friends. Sven, on the other hand, enjoyed quiet time alone. The gardens were perfect for going to think about his future plans. He had only a handful of friends but they were true friends who would do anything for him.

Professional History

After graduating from public school, he decided to attend the University of Stockholm. One of the main reasons for choosing this school was the location, close enough to home but still far enough away so he could be alone. There, he was able to study law enforcement. He strongly believed that laws were set up for a reason and they needed to be followed. Sven was a perfectionist and a stickler for details. After completing the four year program he decided to apply for a job at the local museum as a security guard. The work was easy but the pay wasn't all that good and he still yearned to travel. After working at the museum for a year, he decided to go back to school. He did a lot of research to find the perfect university.

This led him back home to attend the University of Uppsala. He had seen a brochure about the university astronomy course they offered. He had always enjoyed gazing up at the stars at night, why not expand his knowledge? He enrolled in the university astronomy program and decided to minor in psychology. He had taken a few psychology courses back in Stockholm because the law program required it, but he wanted to get a more in-depth knowledge of the subject. Who knows when things like that may come in handy. During his senior year he had to decide what he wanted to do after graduation. As he was looking through job postings, he noticed a posting that was perfect for him. The ad read: "Love to
travel? Explore new areas? Put your education to good use, join Starfleet. Many openings available, apply at Starfleet Academy." The address and phone number were listed at the bottom of the ad. He went there the following week and was accepted for training.
