Personal History

After an initial program trial run as the EMH aboard the USS Defiance-A, the supervising officer decided to experiment with the physical characteristics of the EMH. The Doctor was programmed to appear as a Klingon. However, his personality subroutines were not properly altered. Instead of acting like a Klingon, the Doctor displayed the attributes of an annoying Terran. During his first mission to a Ferengi/Ktarian hybrid vessel, the Doctor's program
was once again altered to display great creativity. After returning to the Defiance, and amidst a fit of having been forced into serving in StarFleet, he resigned. After researching the greatest minds of Earth, the Doctor adopted the names of Albert Einstein and Richard Daystrom, naming himself Albert Daystrom. Daystrom followed the Defiance's crew when they transferred to the USS Ronin and was denied an opportunity to work in Sickbay. After the
CMO was killed during a mission, Daystrom was permitted to fill the post for a month until a replacement was assigned. Towards the end of this month, Daystrom's program was badly damaged when activated inside a temporal anomaly. His program was rescued, but could not be activated. The repairs to his program were put under the supervision of Brandon Toullis. After nearly a year of work, Daystrom's program was reactivated. Eager to return to practicing medicine, Daystrom applied for a job and was placed on the USS Victory.

Professional History

2378 - Daystrom serves as the USS Defiance-A's EMH. He is later assigned to the USS Ronin as Acting CMO for one month until his program is deactivated.

237911.23 - Daystrom is assigned as a Medical Officer to the USS Victory.

2380 - Daystrom becomes Chairman of the Department of Holographics at the University of Miami Medical School.
