Hello POW fans,

Well its been a while in the making but we are have finally arrived at the last edition of "Nails on a chalk board" series. Having covered the first two Enterprise's as well as the crews of DS9 and Voyager its time to take a look at the crew of the Enterprise D. After seven seasons, four feature length films and countless other novels based on this crew, its easy to say that they are some of the most recognizable Trek characters out there. With all that in mind who is your pick for the most irritating? Wesley Crusher is usually the prime suspect from what I have seen (for reasons beyond me) but are there any others that are even more irritating perhaps? Was Troi's psychobabble too much for you or did Data's constant malfunctions flip your switches? Let us know what you thought.

Remember that if you want to see something specific in future polls, by all means let me know on the suggestions thread. You all know the drill, stick around and add a comment or two after you vote because that is what makes this fun. Enjoy!!

Wesley is definitely at the top of the list followed closely by Pulaski. There was just something about that woman I didn't like, though I can't really put my finger on exactly what it is about her that grates my nerves.

Considering Beverly was supposed to be a potential love interest for Picard, I think they tried to go the opposite way with Pulaski. But instead of her coming off as a gruff-but-loveable "Bones"-type doctor, she just came off as a jerk.

I accept I'm probably in the minority here, but I voted for La Forge. I thought him whiny, and it didn't help matters that LeVar Burton had a habit of pronouncing the names of 24th century technology differently from Act One to Act Five, which always drove me nuts.

I looked at all the contestants, and I still have to go with Wesley "I will save the day" Crusher. I do think he got better as the series went along (problably because there was less of him) But the final insult was that he 'evolved' or something at the end.I really don't have problems with brillant characters on the shows, but ugh...Wesley. I found Riker, was hardly FO matter the first year or two.. But finally got a backbone...Perhaps it was the beard.

I've probably said it once and I'll say it again it's got to be Wesley Crusher, there's something about his smugness and what the heck was that traveler thing all about?

As for Pulaski what on earth was she doing on the show to start with.

Okay that's enough I'll put up my soap box now

It was tough for me to choose this time. Troi drove me crazy sometimes. She'd look at some Klingon who was screaming with smoke coming out of his ears while he hurled insults and say, "I sense he's hostile." Gee, ya think so?
Then Tasha Yar had a perennial look of being stricken that also was unappealing. However, the gold ring goes to Will Riker since despite flashes of a likeable character now and then, he was mostly the sexy guy who had no sex appeal, and a pompous jerk who always seemed to be holding his gut in trying to look authoritative. He was just a glorified toady to me.

Wesley Crusher is my least favorite character in all of Star Trek, hell all of TV... Yet Wil Wheaton is one of the most awesome people...

Johanna, your description of Riker is a bit harsh, but very well seen all the same ;p. As far as leadership goes, and for obvious reasons, I’ve always preferred the more subdued style of Picard

Anyway, I voted for Pulaski, because I cannot find any redeeming qualities in this character. I found Wesley annoying enough, but at least at times he amused me, perhaps even more so now, in retrospect.

There was just something about Natasha that I didn't like, I think Worf was WAY better.........

It seems like most people picked (at this moment) Wesley Crusher, which I don't understand at all!!! I loved all of the episodes that he was in. His mom was much more irritating that he was (not that she was really that irritating at all).

No one likes a know it all... and Wesley came across as a fake no it all to me but I disliked Pulaski far more. Everytime she spoke she grated on my nerves
