A common plot point in 'The Next Generation' was the susceptibility of Cmdr. Data to damage or tampering, and the resulting eccentric or unpredictable reactions. So, I thought it would be interesting to poll the masses... Which was the most entertaining example? Give your thoughts, arguments, or suggestions in a reply! Cheers!

It's not really a malfunction, but I always loved the scene in First Contact about anxiety and deactivating the emotional chip.

Data's emotion chip being the reason poor old LaForge get's kidnapped in Generations is my favorite moment. That, and it's the excuse for the infamous line as the saucer plimmets towards the planet.

Discent.... just to see data trying to recreate the moment when he felt anger... "stop it, stop it, stop it...." He was just so terrible at faking it. All I could think of was the episode when he and Tasha had 'relations' and him faking it there too... same voice...."oh yes, oh yes, oh yes..." LMAO
