Hi.
I'm a recent Psych grad and I found the above site very informative.
Here's a site with some online self-assessments if you wish to take any:
http://www.self-inju...tests-Index.htmI'm willing to help out with this.
Any site that has DSM IV info would also help.
Also, Psychology delves into the areas of Behaviorism, Cognition, Motivation, Biology, Chemistry, Philosophy, Medicine, and a host of other areas. Psychology is just not for those who have problems, but is also used to learn how and why humans do what they do. There is also animal psychologists by the way, so one can surmize that by the 24th century, there would be Counselors that specialize in different species. (i.e. A Counselor may know very little about typical human behavior, but may know a whole lot about typical Klingon behavior).
By behavior, I don't mean the behavior of what Klingons eat or drink or say. What I mean are responses to stimuli, (i.e. Pavlov's dogs scenario) or, also called, learning behaviors. This is just one example.
I have tons of info on various subjects in this field, if interested.
