A Time-Proven Strategy
You'll find that our system of training is one of the best on the internet. We've been using this method for years now, and have found it successful in bringing new cadets, like you, into our group in a smooth and easy manner. You'll have fun, and learn, too!

Competent Trainers
You'll be working with two training officers who have been a part of our group for at least a year, and who are eager to help you with any question you have. All our classes are also monitored by the Academy Commandant and the Deputy Commandant to ensure quality and entertainment!

Regular training groups
Training missions are held at regular intervals, with the next one beginning on Monday, May 12, 2008.

Cadet Training

UFOP: StarBase 118 is a high-quality Play-By-E-Mail Role Playing Group. We endeavour to provide an amazing experience for everyone who's a part of our community. As such, we ask that all new members take part in a week-long training course to acclimate them to our way of simming.

During the course, you'll be guided by two highly-skilled training officers who will lead you on a "practice" sim. This will give you the chance to role play with other applicants just like yourself who are eager to learn how to sim and hopefully also have some fun. You'll be assigned a position and will play out a fun, and easy, scenario which is tailor-made to explain everything you need to know about how to sim, so no previous Role-Playing experience is required to join our group. During the course, you'll all receive tutorials about the game which will cover everything that we can't fit into the sim itself. This includes things like the special signage you'll need to sim, and how to tell military time.

In the sim, your character will be heading into their final test of courage and dedication to StarFleet. The "cadet cruise," on one of StarBase 118's massive holodecks, is your character's final proving grounds. Can you handle the rush of adrenaline?

Each class lasts between seven and ten days, and upon completion you'll be assigned to one of the ships in our fleet -- a fresh-faced ensign ready for duty!
