This completes the prospective members tour for UFOP: StarBase 118 RPG. We're glad to hear that you are interested in joining us in a universe of adventure, comraderie, and excitement. Your final step is to apply to our group. To do so, complete the simple form below. Once your application has been approved, you'll be contacted by a member of the training staff.

Please also bear in mind that the more effort applicants put into completing this application form, the more serious we realize the applicant is about joining our group.

The following information is used to give us an initial idea of your character and positional preferences. Answers to all questions are required; incomplete applications will not be considered.

Application - Part 2

This section allows us to get an idea of your initial ability to write in a narrative style. We are not concerned with your Star Trek knowledge, but more with your ability to write interesting and engaging prose. We are attempting to weed out timewasters, not inexperienced simmers. It is important that you try to answer the question with the of number words indicated, as this will help us get a clear picture of your writing ability. Also, be sure to proof-read your entry when it is complete.

Here's the situation: You are assigned to an away team which is beaming down to what was once a colonized planet. On arrival, you find the local area has been abandoned. Using the position you are applying for (e.g. - Tactical Officer), show us how your character would handle the situation. Your answer should be in a narrative style (like a short story) and you are free to make up any further details about the incident/local area. Include your character's personal thoughts, emotions, observations and interaction with other team members (who can also be made up). Try to be as detailed and creative as you can! (Minimum: 250 words.)
